PQM -703 is another representative of a well, known family of analyzers line PQM- 70x . In relation to the PQM -702 has new functions like recording of transients with max. sampling frequency 10 MHz (rapid changes in voltage) and control signals. Minimal transient capturing time is 650 ns. It is intended for a very wide range of users who need to control the quality of power with a mobile device , which fulfills the requirements of a multi-sheet standard IEC 61000 for class A analyzers. This applies to measurement accuracy, measurement methods, and synchronization of time with a standard signal. The last condition is met with a built-in GPS module with an internal antenna. If the analyzer is installed inside, it is possible to use an additional antenna with a 10m-long wire. If the antenna is situated outside, GPS signal will be attainable without any problems and used for the synchronization of an internal clock.

  • Mobile Gas Leak Detection System

    ABB Ability - ABB Ltd.

ABB Ability mobile gas leak detection system uses ABB’s patented Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) technique which has a sensitivity and precision more than 3000 times greater than legacy methods. This enables identification of leaks several hundred feet away from the source. Current traditional leak detection technology is slow, laborious and costly. Operators walk on foot near the pipeline with hand-held sensors making paper-based reports. This is slow and can lead to dangerous leaks being missed or not identified in a timely manner. ABB’s Ability mobile gas leak detection system delivers a low cost per leak solution with low false positives. Reporting includes mapping of the leaks available via a mobile app and measurements as Cloud-based service. The system consists of ABB’s Methane/Ethane Analyzer, a GPS, a sonic anemometer and proprietary leak detection software that presents real-time geospatial maps of multiple gas concentrations in real time. The software’s sophisticated leak detection algorithm combines the system’s measurements of gas concentrations (CH4, C2H6), local coordinates (GPS) and local wind velocity (sonic anemometer) to estimate the location of the leak. Readings are stored in the device and can be transmitted in real-time to the cloud for centralized monitoring.

  • Clock Synchronization

    Analog Devices Inc.

Analog Devices Clock synchronizers are designed for wired networking applications, providing the clock redundancy functionality needed to maximize system uptime. Our technology supports clock synchronization with common standards, including 1 pulse per second (PPS) output signal from a GPS receiver. GPS signals are broadly available and utilize an extremely stable atomic clock as its time base, but they are often noisy. Systems rely on the IEEE1588 timing protocol to establish synchronous communications across the wired network, including synchronous Ethernet and synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) to optical transport network (OTN) mapping/demapping. The IEEE1588 protocol has emerged as the preferred method for Clock synchronizing systems throughout both computer networks and local area networks (LAN).
